Copel is a publicly capital company which is engaged, through subsidiaries, in researching, studying, planning, building, and exploiting the production, transformation, distribution, sales and transportation of energy, in any form, but particularly electric energy, and in participating, alongside other private or state-owned companies, in consortiums and other companies set up to operate in the areas of power.
